An Atypical Presentation of Non-Gestational Choriocarcinoma During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Case Report

Non-gestational choriocarcinoma is a markedly aggressive ovarian germ cell tumor. This report describes an atypical presentation of nongestational in premenopausal female during the COVID-19 pandemic. The patient initially presented with respiratory symptoms and ultimately progressed to multi-organ failure. She underwent extensive thorough work up without diagnosis for many weeks. A pelvic lesion was incidentally noted on routine exam after histologic evaluation, she diagnosed non-gestational choriocarcinoma. expired from failure secondary widely metastatic disease within day before treatment could be initiated. aim this case describe rare gynecologic malignancy presenting as diagnostic challenge non-gynecologic providers alike.
